It was nearly a cat-astrophe.
A lion pounced on a zookeeper in Germany Sunday — and she managed to escape the terrifying attack with no major injuries, authorities said.
The unidentified 25-year-old woman, who works at the Osnabrück Zoo in Berlin, was cleaning the big cat’s cage at around noon when it lunged at her, according to police.
She was hospitalized but not considered seriously injured, cops said.
No other details about the wild attack were immediately available Sunday.
The zoo, which is closed to the public due to coronavirus lockdown measures, could not be reached for comment.
