  • Ex-chief of staff Mark Meadows told SiriusXM that he’d bet all his money on Donald Trump running in 2024.

  • Trump hasn’t explicitly said he’s running again but hinted at it during a recent rally.

Former President Donald Trump is almost certainly running for president in 2024, according to his former chief of staff, Mark Meadows.

Meadows, a staunch ally of the former president, told SiriusXM’s The Wilkow Majority on Thursday that he would bet all of his money on another bid for the White House by Trump, The Daily Mail reported.

“If I were a betting, man … I would tell you to loan me all your money,” he said. “I would put all my money in, and I would bet that he’s running again. “

Meadows added that he reached this conclusion after speaking to the former president “multiple” times a week. “He’s in, and we will count on him running,” he added.

In early August, Insider reported that Meadows had hinted at a future Trump presidential campaign. He told Newsmax that the former president had been meeting with “cabinet members” and was “moving forward” with a 2024 run in a “real way.”

Trump hasn’t explicitly said he’s making a bid for president in 2024 yet, but Insider reported earlier this month that he gave his clearest signal yet that he would run. During a rally in Des Moines, Iowa, he told his supporters that his campaign slogan would be “Make America Great Again, Again.”

In late September, Insider’s John L. Dornan reported that Trump had suggested that only a “bad call from a doctor” would keep him from pursuing the 2024 GOP presidential nomination.

If Trump were to run, it seems he’d have the support of his party. A recent Quinnipiac poll of 1,342 adults found that 78% of Republicans said they want to see Trump run again.
